For four days, Rukh Ordo resounds with the music of the nomadic world. Each festival day is devoted to its own art:
2 September — the day of the dastan, the art of epic narration;
3 September — the day of the kuu, instrumental mastery;
4 September — the day of song;
5 September — a gala concert of traditional music bearers and the awarding of the grand prize.
Six venues of the centre run in parallel. The Central Stage hosts the theatrical prologue and evening concerts; the Ch. Aitmatov Hall — the «Nark Onor» school with demonstrations of rites and crafts; the «Onor Ordosu» amphitheatre — akyn improvisation contests and the instrumentalists' competition; the «Bilim Kazynasy» pavilion — sessions by international participants; Komuz Pier — photo zones and guest performances; the «Muras» studio — sound recording and podcasts.
Over four days, performers from more than thirty countries and regions take the stage, among them Sakha–Yakutia, Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Dagestan, Tuva, Altai, Korea, Japan, Canada, China, India, Brazil, Italy and New Zealand.
