Cultural and scientific programme at the Kurmanjan Datka Center for Nomadic Civilization, 1–6 September 2026. Admission is free.
On 1 September at 12:00 — the grand opening of "The Tale of the Great Mountains" exhibition and the Park Sculpture Alley: park-decorative, stone
and sand sculptures, guided tours of the exposition, a presentation of the "Bashat" programme featuring the armour of the ancient Kyrgyz, and in
the evening a raku fire show, "Fire and Flame: the Mystery of Khan Tengri".
Daily from 10:00 to 18:00 the open-air art ground hosts free workshops by leading artists: painting (the "Under the Sky of Issyk-Kul" plein air,
the "Oriental Dastorkon" ethnic still life, portrait painting), graphics (ink sketching "The Magic of the Line", "Dance of the Pen" calligraphy,
caricature, "Flower of Life" watercolour), sculpture (the "Kyrgyz Ornament" and "Guardian of the Peaks. Snow Leopard" bas-reliefs) and ceramics
(the "Vessel of Time" pottery practicum, painting of decorative plates).
The exhibition ground is open from 10:00 to 22:00. Travelling exhibitions and plein airs: 2 September — the Dordoi-Nomad cultural and
ethnographic complex, 3 September — the Kyrchyn jailoo (Meiman Ordo), 4 September — the Cholpon-Ata Hippodrome, 5 September — the Chingiz
Aitmatov "Rukh Ordo" Cultural Center.
On 6 September at 15:00 — the official closing: a ceremony handing the paintings and sculptures over to the Kurmanjan Datka Center for Nomadic
Civilization.
